With over 50 years of coating application experience, Medicote (a division of BEST Engineered Surface Technologies) offers high-quality surface coatings to medical OEM’s, marine, defense and industrial application sectors.

Constructed in 2010, our spacious new facility in Bristol, RI offers clear and colored anodizing, hard coat anodizing, conversion coating, precision cleaning, engineered coatings including PTFE and Dryfilm Lubricants, plastic bead blasting, sandblasting, pad printing, labeling, packaging, and light assembly. Our state-of-the-art facility and equipment enable us to meet the most diversified applications with ease and in the volumes necessary for any OEM.

Our special expertise includes selective coatings applications, masking techniques and working with special materials. Close tolerance applications are welcomed.

Our Current Capabilities

Anodizing

Hard coat anodizing is a process used to increase abrasion and corrosion resistance of base metals.

Passivation

Dip-coat metal finishing of complex surfaces to prevent corrosion using a protective oxide layer or film.

Chromating

Chromating can reduce reactivity, improve durability, prime for decorative finish, or improve electrical conductivity of metals and alloys.

Sand Blasting

Propelling abrasive materials at high speeds to clean, smooth, or shape a surface.

PTFE

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene.  PTFE coatings have high operating temperatures, extremely low coefficient of friction, and good abbrasion and chemical resistance.

Black Oxide

The Black Oxide Process involves creating a black oxide layer on the metal’s surface through chemical reactions.

Electropolishing

Electropolishing is an electrochemical process used to polish, passivate, and deburr metal surfaces, primarily stainless steel and other alloys.

Magnesium Methylate

Magnesium Methylate coating is used for various industrial applications, including corrosion protection, enhancing surface properties, and improving the material’s performance under specific environmental conditions.

Silk Screening

Silk screening, also known as screen printing, is a popular printing technique used to transfer ink onto a surface (like fabric, paper, or plastic) through a mesh stencil.

Bead Blasting

We can blast tiny beads at high pressures to remove contaminants and create a uniform surface.
